When your kids were small and they struggled learning a new list of spelling words, what did you tell them? Practice makes perfect. For some reason, it is easy to forget that good advice when it comes to writing. We assume that writers are just born with some magical writing gene. The truth is that anyone can learn to write. It just takes practice.

You may be like many of my authors and worry that you don’t remember all those pesky grammar rules you learned back in school. There are a whole host of people out there who not only remember those pesky grammar rules, they actually ENJOY applying those rules. It just takes an editor.

Maybe you are much better at speaking than writing. If that is the case, then you can speak your book into existence with the assistance of a cheap recording device and a good transcriptionist. It just takes a voice.

Some of you like to tell stories but aren’t sure how those stories could come together into a book. You need help getting your writing organized. It just takes organization.

When you learned a new sport as a kid, you didn’t try to figure it out on your own. You had a coach explain the game to you and work with you to improve. It just takes a coach.

So you aren’t a professional writer. That is no longer an excuse not to write a book. At Chaplain Publishing, we can help you with editing, finding your voice, and getting organized. As you begin to tell your life story with Chaplain Publishing’s caring writing coaches, you might find that just like sports, practicing your writing can be FUN.
